Bug ID 744089: VMware Horizon "Secure Tunnel" connection fails if target's name resolves only to IPv6 address

Last Modified: Oct 13, 2023

Affected Product(s):
BIG-IP APM(all modules)

Known Affected Versions:
15.0.0, 15.0.1,,,,

Opened: Sep 14, 2018

Severity: 3-Major

When "HTTP(S) Secure Tunnel" option on Vmware View Connection Server is set to a FQDN that resolves to IPv6 only, secure tunnel connection from native View client fails.

Connection fails and Horizon client displays error "Could not establish tunnel connection".

- Configure APM as a proxy for VMware Horizon with "HTTP(S) Secure Tunnel" VCS option set to FQDN which resolves to only IPv6 address. - User tries to connect to a remote desktop or application with native Horizon client.

Instead of FQDN, configure 'Secure Tunnel" with IPv6 address.
