Last Modified: Aug 14, 2023

Affected Product(s):
APM-Clients TMOS(all modules)

Opened: Sep 27, 2018

Severity: 3-Major

Symptoms

Edge Client for macOS does not save the username and password in always connected mode if the username for the server changes after the initial login or if the user connects to a different server. The user has to enter the username and password each time to connect using the new username or to connect to the newly selected server. This issue exists even after having the Save password to disk option enabled.

Impact

User has to enter username password again even though the option to save password to disk is selected. This is only the case if username for the server is changed after initial login or if user tries to connect to a different server.

Conditions

- MacOS Always-Connected Edge Client with disconnected VPN traffic option set to 2. - Allow Saving Password to Disk. - User logs in with username password for server and then next time, changes the username for the server OR User logs in with username password for server and then next time, changes the server from the server selection drop-down menu.
