Opened: Dec 03, 2018

Severity: 4-Minor

Symptoms

rpm is used to check current file states versus expected file states in the 'filesystem' package; changes are detected: [root@localhost:NO LICENSE:Standalone] config # rpm -V filesystem .M....... /sys

Impact

There is no known impact to the system if this occurs, but running 'rpm -V filesystem' reports the discrepancy.

Conditions

-- BIG-IP version 14.1.0 is running. -- An earlier software version is installed. -- The system is then booted into that earlier version.

Workaround

Using a shell command, run the following command to correct the mode of the directory that is incorrect: chmod u+w /sys
