Symptoms

DNS64 statistics do not track DNS Cache related operations, even though they may functionally use the configured DNS64 prefix and related settings when appropriate for a given response.

Impact

The given DNS profile statistics for DNS64 will not increment for DNS Cache specific responses, even when DNS64 configuration is used in the response.

Conditions

DNS64 prefix and related settings are configured on a dns profile.

Workaround

On some versions of BIG-IP software you can enable a db variable to include DNS64 specific DNS Cache operations in the existing DNS64 statistics output on the DNS profile. For example: tmsh modify sys db dns.dns64statsincludecache value enable
