Symptoms

All messages from the kernel are logged twice.

Impact

Notice that all messages are logged twice. The messages with 'kernel:' are logged via syslog-ng while the remaining messages are logged via systemd-journald. There is no functional impact to the system, with the exception of more kernel messages logged than might be expected.

Conditions

Locate 'kernel' messages in /var/log/kern.log.

None.

Behavior Change

The system no longer double-logs kernel messages.
