Opened: Jan 26, 2019

Severity: 3-Major

Symptoms

The BIG-IP system does not send reset packets out when a connection handled by a global SNAT times out.

Impact

The client and server systems might unnecessarily keep the connection open.

Conditions

-- Traffic is handled by a global SNAT on the BIG-IP system. -- The TCP Idle Timeout configured for the SNAT Translation expires before either side closes the TCP connection.

Workaround

Use a forwarding virtual server with a SNAT pool instead of a global SNAT.
