Symptoms

The procedure on how to create a custom server SSL profile that supports CRL is missing from documentation.

Impact

Without documentation, the workflow to create a custom server SSL profile that supports CRL may be difficult to configure.

Conditions

Select System :: Certificate Management :: Traffic Certificate Management :: CRL and attempt to create a custom server SSL profile that supports CRL.

Workaround

To configure this, use the following procedure: 1. Create an internal proxy with a DNS Resolver by selecting System : Services : Internal Proxies and clicking Create. 2. Create a CRL configuration object by selecting System : Certificate Management : Traffic Certificate Management : CRL and clicking Create. 3. Create a custom Server SSL Profile that supports CRL by selecting Local Traffic : Profiles : SSL : Server and clicking Create. 4. Complete the Server Authentication settings to define CRL, CRL File, and Allow Expired CRL File fields.
