BIG-IP Virtual Edition (VE) cannot support MAC masquerading when using virtual functions from X520 NICs (ixvf) unless trusted mode is configured on the host. When trusted mode is not configured on the host, the system fails to set the floating MAC after failover.
MAC masquerading does not function properly.
-- BIG-IP VE in high availability (HA) configuration. -- ixvf devices configured with MAC masquerading. -- Trusted mode is not enabled on the host.
Enable trusted mode on the host for the virtual functions.
