Symptoms

When you issue the 'halt' command, the host system does not power down.

Impact

The operating system halts; the host system does not power down. Note: The host powered down in versions earlier than 14.1.0.

Conditions

Issue the 'halt' command.

Workaround

To recover system after issuing the 'halt' command: AOM Command Menu: R --- Reset host subsystem

Behavior Change

Beginning in BIG-IP 14.1.0, the 'halt' command halts the operating system of the BIG-IP host subsystem, but does not power off the BIG-IP host subsystem.
