Symptoms

Azure Application Insights support is required for deploying BIG-IP VE devices in a service scaling group (SSG) located in an Azure cloud environment.

Impact

BIG-IQ cannot deploy BIG-IP VE devices in an SSG (service scaling group) to an Azure cloud environment if Azure Application Insights is not supported for the region the cloud environment is located in.

Conditions

BIG-IP VE devices deployed in an Azure cloud environment.

Workaround

Verify Azure Application Insights is supported in the regions you plan to deploy devices in an SSG located in an Azure cloud environment. Refer to: https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/global-infrastructure/services/?regions=all&products=monitor
