Opened: Oct 14, 2019

Severity: 3-Major

Symptoms

Under certain conditions, the BIG-IP system requires you to change your password on every login. Furthermore, the login then fails, and loops endlessly asking for the password, even though the password has not expired.

Impact

Remote AD BIG-IP users are unable to login to the BIG-IP system using remote LDAP authentication

Conditions

-- BIG-IP 14.0.0 and later. -- LDAP authentication is used for remote users. -- Active Directory (AD) user account has shadowLastChange attribute with a value of 0 (or anything lower than the number of days since 1-1-1970).

Workaround

Clear the value of shadowLastChange within AD.
