Symptoms

When sessions usage iRules are called on an already overloaded system it might crash. This is not unexpected as happened once when tmm is pinned at 100% for very long time before the crash.

Impact

Tmm restarts. Traffic disrupted while tmm restarts.

Conditions

Session iRule calls on heavily overloaded BIG-IP systems.

Workaround

Reduce the load on tmm or modify the optimize the irule. Note that BIG-IP systems are not expected to run at 100% load for an extended period of time.
