Symptoms

Unable to establish active FTP connection with custom FTP filter.

Impact

-- The active FTP data channel is reset. -- Commands that require data channel in active mode fail.

Conditions

All of the following conditions are true: -- Virtual server using custom FTP filter. -- FTP filter has port (port used for data channel) set to 0 (zero). -- Virtual server has source-port set to preserve-strict. -- Using active FTP through the virtual server.

Workaround

-- Change source-port to change or preserve. -- Set port on FTP filter to be used for data channel. -- Use passive FTP.
