Symptoms

Messages similar to the following may be seen in the DNS (GTM) logs: The list processing time (32 seconds) exceeded the interval value. There may be too many monitor instances configured with a 30 second interval. This message was introduced in 15.0.0 as an aid to help identifying overloaded DNS (GTM) systems, but it triggers too easily and can be logged when the device is not overloaded.

Impact

Messages are logged that imply the system is overloaded when it is not.

Conditions

-- DNS (GTM) servers are present. -- Virtual servers are configured on those DNS (GTM) servers. -- A monitor is applied to the DNS (GTM) server.

Workaround
