When resolving FQDN names for FQDN nodes/pool members, pending DNS requests are timed out after 5 seconds with no response from the DNS server. If there is a persistent latency of 5 seconds or greater in the DNS server responses, FQDN name resolution will fail and ephemeral nodes/pool members will not be created.
Ephemeral pool members may not be created, thus no traffic will be sent to the intended pool members.
