Symptoms

Untagged packets are going out as tagged from BIG-IP systems on i15800 platforms.

Impact

Traffic processed on the VLAN appears to fail.

Conditions

-- Using the i15800 platform. -- Virtual wire configuration. -- VLAN configured to forward packets as untagged. -- The VLAN processes traffic.

Workaround

Note: Do not attempt to perform the following procedure on iSeries platforms other than the i15800. Enable the bcm56xxd.hgvlan_check_disable sys db variable and restart the bcm56xxd daemon: 1. tmsh modify sys db bcm56xxd.hgvlan_check_disable value enable 2. tmsh restart sys service bcm56xxd
