Symptoms

When running an access session report, some fields such as logon user are missing for some sessions.

Impact

Those session fields are missing from the report. This occurs because the report is based on log messages: what is in the database are the original log messages. Reporting extracts the requested fields from the database at run time. For a session-in-session report, this information is extracted from multiple log messages. So if the time window specified for the report does not include certain log messages that contain the relevant session field, then that field will be missing from the report.

Conditions

-- Run Access session report with specified time period. -- Check report. -- The time period specified for the report does not include the log message that contain a field about a session.

Workaround

Expand the time window to include the log message that contains the field.
