WAM image optimization can leak entity reference when demoting to unoptimized image. WAM allows PNG files to be optimized to WEBP and JPG files to be optimized to JPEG XR formats, based on capabilities inferred from the client's User-Agent value. Once the optimized version is in the cache, internal check failures might cause the entity/document to be reverted to the unoptimized version. If this unoptimized version is already present in the cache, a reference to the corresponding entity is leaked, thus causing the entity to be held in memory along with attached resource/document objects and associated storage (UCI).
