Symptoms

Lower-privileged users, for instance guests or operators, are unable to list the configuration in tmsh, and get an error: Unexpected Error: Can't display all items, can't get object count from mcpd. The list /sys or list /sys telemd commands trigger the following error: 01070823:3: Read Access Denied: user (oper) type (Telemd configuration).

Impact

You are unable to show the running config, or use list or list sys commands.

Conditions

User account with a role of guest, operator, or any role other than admin.

Workaround

Logon with an account with admin access.
