Symptoms

The storage system might not recognize an address with a route domain (% followed by a number after the IP address) as a valid address. This could cause operations to fail or to hang. Logs under /var/log/postgres/ shows an error similar to: ERROR: invalid input syntax for type inet: "10.10.1.4%6"

Impact

Operations might fail or hang and errors are logged.

Conditions

This happen when route domains are used.

Fix Information

Addresses containing route domains are now correctly recognized as valid.
