Symptoms

If the primary BIG-IQ in an high availability (HA) configuration with a floating IP is reset or removed from the high availability (HA) group, it retains the floating IP address.

Impact

The floating IP does not work correctly, because it is assigned to the wrong device, or multiple devices.

Conditions

A BIG-IQ high availability (HA) primary with a floating IP is removed from the high availability (HA) group.

Workaround

Remove the floating IP from the old primary device with a command like: # ip address del 10.10.10.10/24 dev eth0 Replacing the address, netmask, and interface name with the appropriate values.
