Opened: Nov 23, 2020
Severity: 3-Major

Symptoms

On versions earlier than v14.1.0, the menu System :: Users :: Authentication allowed specifying multiple LDAP servers by separating multiple server IP addresses with commas. After upgrade to v14.1.0, the comma-separated values are not parsed correctly. This can render inoperative remote system authentication.

Impact

System authentication by remote servers is not operational after upgrade to v14.1.0 or later.

Conditions

-- Multiple remote auth servers are specified -- BIG-IP system is upgraded

Workaround

You can use either of the following workarounds: -- Use tmsh to configure multiple LDAP authentication servers. -- Configure a single server IP address via the GUI.
