Symptoms

BIG-IP devices that need to use an HTTPS proxy server to communicate with callhome.f5.com, no longer receive, or check for, automatic updates.

Impact

The BIG-IP cannot contact the callhome.f5.com server to check for, or receive, updates.

Conditions

-- The BIG-IP device is behind a network firewall. -- Outbound communication must be through an HTTPS proxy.

Workaround

1. Manually download updates from the F5 Downloads server, 2. Install the updates directly on the BIG-IP device.
